Toonami on Cartoon Network was basically a time slot where only anime (or Japanese inspired) cartoons played. Having started in 1997, it's robotic host introduced me to Dragonball Z, Gundams, the Power Puff Girls, video game reviews and many other great cartoons. But as of Sept 20th, 2008, Toonami will no longer exist. *sigh*

The Evolution of Tom (the host of Toonami)



The shows that I watched on Toonami were: Dragonball z, YuYu Hakusho, Gundam Wing, G Gundam, Ronin Warriors, Zoids, Tenchi Muyo, Power Puff Girls, and sometimes Sailor Moon. Though recently Toonami kind of sucked and only showed Naruto episodes, so I stopped watching. But seeing an end to a major part of my cartoon culture is still saddening.
